The landscape of Valencia consists of the Huerta (=orchard) whose changing scenery pleases the eye.

 

The sea, the fertile lands, the climate, the irrigation system and the effort of man in the fields, have all created a particular landscape of great beauty. The farmer through his effort and care sets up thereby a big multi-coloured coat which delights our sight senses. But in the Huerta our smell senses are also pleasantly surprised by unexpected and intense odours.
